  • Serving as your Councillor has been one of the greatest honours of my life.

    I am running for re-election because there is still important work to do.

    ​

    Over the past four years, we’ve made meaningful progress on infrastructure, fiscal responsibility, heritage preservation, tourism, youth initiatives, and improving municipal services.

    While there is always more work ahead, I believe experience, collaboration, and thoughtful decision-making matter.

    ​

    I remain committed to preserving the character that makes Niagara-on-the-Lake special while planning responsibly for our future.

    I don’t make decisions based on politics or popularity.

    ​

    I make decisions based on facts, community input, and what I believe is best for Niagara-on-the-Lake over the long term.

  • My priorities include:

    • Investing in roads, stormwater infrastructure and sidewalks.

    • Supporting seniors through age-friendly initiatives and accessible recreation.

    • Creating more opportunities for youth to stay engaged in our community.

    • Protecting Niagara-on-the-Lake’s heritage and unique character.

    • Supporting responsible economic development and tourism.

    • Improving transparency and communication with residents.

    • Continuing to strengthen by-law enforcement and municipal services.

    • Ensuring responsible financial management that respects taxpayers.

  • Some of the work I’m proud to have supported includes:

    • Keeping one of the lowest tax increases in recent history.

    • Investing in stormwater infrastructure improvements.

    • Supporting increased by-law enforcement resources.

    • Advocating for Vision Zero road safety initiatives.

    • Leading motions for a Seniors & Youth Lifecycle Strategy.

    • Leading the review of our Special Events By-law.

    • Supporting updates to the Tree By-law.

    • Supporting improvements to agricultural land policies.

    • Advocating for fair and transparent planning decisions.

    • Supporting investments that strengthen our parks, recreation facilities and community services.

  • Every decision starts with one question:

    What is in the best long-term interest of Niagara-on-the-Lake?

    I review staff reports, ask questions, listen to residents, consider expert advice, and evaluate both the short-term and long-term impacts before voting.

    While I may not always agree with everyone, residents can trust that every vote is made thoughtfully and independently.

    Staff provide professional advice, which is an important part of the decision-making process.

    Council’s role is to weigh that advice alongside public input, legislation, financial impacts, and community priorities before making a final decision.

    Sometimes I support staff recommendations, and sometimes I don’t.

  • Yes—but it must be responsible.

    Growth should:

    • Respect our heritage.

    • Protect our agricultural lands.

    • Be supported by infrastructure.

    • Fit the character of existing neighbourhoods.

    • Benefit both current and future residents.

    I believe in smart planning—not growth at any cost.

  • Infrastructure has been one of my top priorities.

    Many of our roads, stormwater systems and underground infrastructure are decades old.

    For years, funding was diverted into other areas.

    ​

    We cannot continue delaying these investments if we want to protect our community from future challenges.

    ​

    This Council has made meaningful progress, but there is still work to do.

  • Recent storms have affected communities across Niagara.

    Flooding is a complex issue that cannot be solved overnight. However, we have begun investing in stormwater infrastructure, planning improvements and long-term solutions.

    I will continue advocating for investments that help make our community more resilient.

  • I believe elected officials should be accessible.

    Residents regularly reach me through:

    Listening doesn’t always mean agreeing, but every resident deserves to be heard respectfully.

  • I believe every tax dollar should be treated with respect.

    My approach is to:

    • Spend responsibly.

    • Invest where it matters most.

    • Plan for the future.

    • Avoid passing today’s problems on to future taxpayers.

  • Yes.

    Good leadership means being willing to listen.

    If new information is presented or residents raise concerns I hadn’t considered, I believe it is responsible—not weak—to reconsider my position.

    We are fortunate to live in one of Canada’s most beautiful communities, but what truly makes Niagara-on-the-Lake special is the people who volunteer, support local businesses, protect our heritage, coach our youth, care for their neighbours, and make this community feel like home.

    That is who I work for every day.
